Frequently Asked Questions

What is the age limit for the board and train programs at Allstar Canines?

We accept both puppies and adult dogs! For puppies, they can typically start as early as 9 weeks, focusing on crucial early socialization and house manners. For adult dogs, there is no upper age limit—as long as your senior dog is healthy and cleared by a vet for physical activity, they can absolutely learn new habits.

How long is the program?

Board and Train program is typically 3-6 weeks.

Will my dog forget me after a month away?

Absolutely not. You will have weekly visits and training sessions before your canine returns home. They remember you perfectly, they just return with better manners.

Do you take dogs with severe leash reactivity or aggression for board and train?

Yes. Our comprehensive behavioral rehabilitation board and train program is specifically designed for dogs struggling with leash reactivity, resource guarding, and fear-based aggression. Because we control the environment 24/7, we can safely introduce triggers at a threshold your dog can handle, shifting their emotional response far faster than once-a-week training sessions can.

Can a board and train program help with severe separation anxiety or crate crying?

Absolutely. Separation anxiety and crate distress are two of the most common issues we solve in our board and train program. We build crate confidence systematically, teaching your dog that being alone is a safe, rewarding experience. By modifying their routine in a neutral environment, we break the cycle of panic and replace it with calm, structured independence.

Where will my dog stay during an inboard dog training program?

Your dog’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. During their stay at the Allstar Canines facility, dogs are housed in a climate-controlled, secure environment with 24/7 monitoring. We balance intense training periods with structured downtime, outdoor play in our secure runs, and overnight rest to mirror a healthy home routine.

Do you specialize in large breed dog training or small puppies?

We train dogs of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds! Our curriculum is customized whether you need large breed dog training for a powerful puller or gentle manners for a toy breed puppy. From working breeds needing a high-intensity mental outlet to small dogs needing basic boundary setting, we adapt our handling and pressure to match your dog's size and temperament.
